About Kings

Over the years, Kings has grown, but our commitment to delivering
fresh and unique products to the communities we serve has always been the same.

We are passionate about food.

It’s very simple, but it inspires everything we do. From the rarest foods to the freshest produce, we constantly look for the finest items—specially chosen for our customers. Every trip to Kings is a chance for you to experience the sights, sounds and aromas of something special.

Our passion for food hasn't stopped for 75 years.

In 1936, the founders of Kings began with the humble purpose of finding the freshest produce around. They quickly learned who the best local farmers were and established relationships that would endure and evolve over the years. Today, our passion for food has increased along with the size of our business. We currently have over 24 locations, each one seamlessly integrated into the community it serves. So you'll find even more places where inspiration strikes.

Kings Act Against Hunger

At Kings, we not only have a responsibility to our customers, but also to our community. Through our Act Against Hunger initiative, we’re making an impact on hunger relief throughout New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. With help from our vendor partners, we’ve provided more than 50,000 pounds of food and approximately 2,500 turkeys to those in need, as well as more than one ton of food to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

But hunger relief requires more than donations, it requires systemic change. That’s why we’re helping future generations by offering free after-school programs that provide healthy meals and teach the value of nutrition. And we’re helping local communities cultivate fresh produce through community gardens.

It’s all part of our continuing effort to end hunger and establish positive change in our community.
