Berry-Cherry Jam

1 Pound Strawberries, cleaned, hulled & halved
1 Pound Sweet California Cherries, cleaned & pitted
1½ Cups Sugar
5 Tablespoons Powdered Fruit Pectin
4 Teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice

1. Combine the strawberries and cherries in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher.
2. In a non-stick skillet stir together the fruit, sugar, pectin and lemon juice and heat to boiling. 
3. Continue boiling for 5-10 minutes until thickened.  Transfer to a bowl to cool. 
4. Cover and chill.  Store in refrigerator in a sealed container for two weeks.
