
Caramel Apples
Ingredients
8 Medium Apples
8 Craft Sticks
2 - 14 Ounce bags of Caramel Candies
4 Tablespoons Water
4 Tablespoons smooth Peanut Butter or 1 Cup Marshmallows -- optional
Decorate with chocolate chips or peanuts -- (finely chopped)
Preparation
1. Wash and dry apples. Insert stick into center of each apple.
2. Place caramels, water, and or peanut butter and marshmallows in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring often.
3. Dip apples into soft, creamy mixture. Don't forget to twirl and tilt the apple until it is covered.
4. Let the apple rest a few minutes.
5. Dip the apple into the nuts, chocolate chips, etc.
6. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate until firm.
