
Haricot Verts with Sliced Almonds
Ingredients
1 lb French Style Haricot Verts
2 -4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1/4 Cup Sliced Almonds, Toasted
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1/8-1/4 Cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch haricot verts for 4-5 minutes or until tender. Drain well.
2. In a large pan over medium high heat, heat oil adding almonds and toss till for 1 minute add garlic to lightly brown add beans and broth cover for 5 minutes on low heat.
3. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Serve with grilled ribeye steak.
