1 jar of your favorite Marinara sauce
1 lb Whole Wheat Linguine
1/2 lb peeled and de veined Kings Shrimp
1 shallot, minced
3-6 cloves garlic, sliced
½ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
¼ cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbls shredded basil
1 tbls fresh chopped Italian parsley
1. Bring a large pot of boiling water to a boil, add in salt.
2. Cook whole wheat Linguine until al dente, drain reserving 1 cup of pasta water (do not rinse pasta with water).
3. Heat a large sauce pan with ¼ cup olive oil, add in sliced garlic, minced shallot, optional red pepper flakes. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until all ingredients are tender. Add in Victoria’s Tomato Sauce and simmer for 5 minutes add in prepared shrimp and simmer for another 5 minutes. Keep warm. Toss with cooked linguine.
4. Serve and garnish with fresh basil and chopped Italian parsley.
