2 pounds ground beef

2 cups white onion, diced

2-15 ounce cans kidney beans

2-14.5 ounce cans diced tomatoes

2 cups water

6 tablespoons Chili Powder Blend

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste

2 teaspoon sugar 


Cook ground beef and onion in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Drain if desired. 

Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, about 35-45 minutes. For a thicker texture, puree about ¼ of the chili with an immersion blender or food processor. Top with shredded cheese, more diced onions, or sliced jalapenos.
