Directions

Strawberry Popcorn

Pop corn kernels and place in a very large bowl. You’ll need one big enough to mix 8 cups popcorn with your hands or two large spoons. Measure salt, sugar and strawberries into a coffee grinder and process to a fine powder. Coat top layer of popcorn with butter spray (or drizzle 1 tablespoon of melted butter), sprinkle strawberry powder on top, and turn to mix. Repeat until all the strawberry topping is in the bowl. Mix for another minute until evenly coated.

BBQ Popcorn

Pop corn kernels and place in a very large bowl. You’ll need one big enough to mix 8 cups popcorn with your hands or two large spoons. Measure spices into a small container with a tight‐fitting lid. Close and shake to blend. Break up clumps with a fork and shake again. Coat top layer of popcorn with butter spray (or drizzle 1 tablespoon of melted butter), sprinkle spices on top, and turn to mix. Repeat until all the spice mix is in the bowl. Mix for another minute until evenly coated.

Raspberries and other dehydrated fruit work in place of dehydrated strawberries.
For more heat, shake some hot sauce such as Frank’s Red Hot on top of BBQ popcorn.
Popcorn and toppings can be made a day in advance and stored in airtight containers at room temperature.
Toppings will keep in airtight containers for a month – try them on other foods.
