5 large or 6 medium ripe peaches, skinned and halved
4 tablespoons Don’t Be A Sap Maple Butter
4 tablespoons plain, unsalted butter
1 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
1 + ¼ cup sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
- Preheat your oven to 350° F.
- Make your peach filling. Add your peaches, Don’t Be A Sap Maple Butter, ¼ cup sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons flour to a saucepan over medium heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the peaches are soft.
- Make your batter. In a large bowl combine your remaining cup of flour, remaining cup of sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt and mix until smooth.
- Place your 4 tablespoons of butter in a baking dish. Put the baking dish in the oven and let the butter melt. Once the butter is melted, remove the baking dish from the oven and assemble your cobbler. Reserve ½ cup of batter and pour the rest of the batter into the baking dish. Pour your peaches on top. Drizzle the remaining ½ cup of batter over the peaches.
- Bake for 1 hour.
