Parmesan Bread Twists
2 (1-pound) packages refrigerated bread dough
8 ounces butter, softened
1/4 cup garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease 2 baking sheets and set aside.
Roll each piece of bread dough onto a floured surface, to 15 inches round and 1/4 inch in thickness.
Mix the butter, garlic, parsley and salt together in the bowl of the food processor fitted with the steel blade, pulse for 30 seconds.
Using a rubber spatula spread 1 piece of rolled dough evenly with the butter mixture and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese.
Place the remaining dough on top of the butter mixture and pinch the edges together to seal.
Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough in half crosswise, continue to cut the dough lengthwise into 1 inch pieces.
Twist each piece of dough 2-3 times and place it onto the baking sheet.
Place the baking sheets into the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes.
Remove the breadsticks from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
