Roasted Figs With Jamon Serrano And Cabrales Cheese

Ingredients

12 fresh figs 

6 slices Jamon Serrano, sliced thin and halved lengthwise

4 ounces Cabrales cheese

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F. 

Cut a slit in the side of each fig. stuff a small piece of Cabrales cheese in the opening, repeating for each fig. Wrap a piece of Serrano around each fig, then stand the figs up on a foil lined baking sheet and drizzle evenly with olive oil. 

Roast figs for 6 to 8 minutes, until the ham is slightly crispy and golden on the edges. Serve the figs when still slightly warm.
